I’ve worked with quite a few indy yarn dyers now, and one of the things I love about it is how everyone can create something completely unique with the same materials. One person who really stands out as a dyer is Hutch of Dye Candy.
With her green mohawk and vibrant colour pallette, she is a big-hearted softy with a spiky exterior!
After seeing some of my pins, Hutch got in touch suggesting a collaboration. She had a few ideas in mind but was really open to wherever our working together could go.
I started with a mood board to gather ideas and colour inspiration.
Inspired by Tank Girl, I initially gave Hutch a load of ideas to look through and options to choose from as we shaped up our plans.
Hutch shared the first pic on her social media the other day, and the reaction has been so lovely!

So for a while now I've been working with @samdrawsthings, and been talking custom drawings, collaborations and other exciting stuff! We clicked straight away and Sam absolutely just gets it. She gets me, my brand, who I am and what I'm about. This is the first piece I'm showing off, inspired by real life events 😂 Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you're following both of us- we have an awesome collaboration planned, you won't want to miss it!! #dyecandy #samdrawsthings #illustrator #illustration #bitchin #knittersofinstagram #crochetersofinstagram #spinnersofinstagram #fuckstereotypes #creativemind #dreamteam
We have LOTS of plans we’re working away on in the background, I’ll be sharing more soon 🙂
