I’m so excited about my latest branding project, it was such a joy to create 🙂
Claire is a magical lady and I love the uplifting vibe I’ve captured for her in the logo and branding.

It’s lovely watching a brand new brand blossom. I love the moment when a logo I’ve designed starts appearing on things. It takes on a life of its own away from my sketchbook and it’s pure magic.
The yarn bands I’ve designed for Banshee Yarns have just been wrapped around their first skeins of yarn, and their colours are so stunning, look! 🙂
Go follow them for news of their other colours, online shop and first wool show.

Talented artist Hannah Corley came to me for help with her logo and branding as she starts her own business. Like all my clients, I asked her to start with a Pinterest board of things that excite and inspire her. This is such a great place to start when you’re thinking about your brand.
She sent me the most beautiful board packed with sunflowers, bees, warm browns and yellows and vintage fonts. Sometimes people don’t really know what they want and I put together lots of different ideas and colour options for them to choose from. Hannah knew just what she wanted the look and feel of her brand to be, so my job was to simply create some different logo layouts for her to choose from. I tried the sunflower and the been in all sorts of combinations!
The final logo is classy, elegant and whimsical and I cannot WAIT to see it in use as Hannah starts her business 🙂

Woah, this year feels like it’s going really fast! We are just over half way through the wonderful Flower Power Fund project (which looks like it’s going to happen again next year) and there have already been 9 lovely flower-inspired yarns, created by talented independent yarn dyers from all over the UK.
It’s been a gorgeous way to practice my own take on botanical illustration as I’ve created matching prints for each month. Here they are so far:
This month feels like a really special one, as it’s the turn of Jane from Hedgerow Yarns. Jane and I have been friends for a long time and had some lovely adventures together, and it was doing her branding that lead me into the wonderful wooly world that I’m now part of!
Jane’s yarn is STUNNING. Inspired by pretty country garden lupins, it’s just so subtle and beautiful. You can find the Lupin yarn in her Etsy shop here, and my matching print here.
